Decaf Method: Like all of our coffee's, Night Mode maintains its 100% organic rating from crop to cup. This means no harmful chemical baths are used in the decaffeination process. Rather, our beans go through the Swiss Water Process of decaffeination, which uses a 4 step water process. Additionally, for a coffee to be considered decaf by the United States Department of Agriculture, it can still contain up to 3% caffeine. The Swiss Water Process of decaffeination removes 99.99% of the caffeine content and maintains all the healthy antioxidants that are typically destroyed in a chemical decaf process.
